Director-General

The Director-General is responsible for the overall management and organization of services, equipment resources and the administrative staff of the University, and of the duties required by law in the field of management in public administration.

The three-year engagement was awarded on January 7, 2014 and which expires on 31 December 2016.

Born in Reggio Calabria in 1962, he graduated in Political Science at the University of Messina in 1984; He completed the course of study first with the Master in public communication through which acquired the title of journalist, then with the Master Level 2 in Management of Universities and research institutions, awarded by the Politecnico di Milano .

His career, prior to engagement of the Director General of the Polytechnic of Bari, was developed at the Mediterranean University, where he held progressively more and more relevant functions, from the role of servant to go to the managerial career, until it covers the post of Director of Administration, carried out from 2007 to 2013.

Among other important positions he has held, from 2012 to 2013, to Vice President of CODAU (Permanent Conference of Directors General University Italian), a body within which today acts as the coordinator of the Research Group.

He is currently also Formez consultant on the issues of performance evaluation in PA.
